  • The bright orange tea cup hot tub would not have gone un-noticed. Fresh water, no chemical, hot tub experience. First use is free. There after, there is a charge of £5 per bag of wood, available to buy on site in the vintage trailer in the barn, if you'd like to heat it more than once. Extra charges may apply if staying for more than 3 nights. Please bring your own towels to use with the hot tub. The hot tub is under cover and has two open sides with amazing views up to Fontmell Down

  • The first use is included in the price of your stay. When you arrive, decide a time that you would like to use the hot tub. Allow about an hour and a half for the filling and heating process.

Just turn on the water tap on the post to the left of the hot tub. You will hear a clicking sound from the propane igniter which in turn should light the burner. You should hear a slight roaring sound.

In the middle of the heater cupboard double doors is a hole where you can view the temperature indicator which will keep rising until it indicates about 39-40 degrees or there abouts. Perfect!

No need to touch the controls on the heater it has already been set.

If the burner blows out you will see the temperature indicator fall rapidly. If this happens turn the water tap off, wait a few seconds and try again. Keep the tap running until the water level reaches the red line on the top of the flange. Lastly, remove the blue cover and sink into bliss! Probably a good idea to replace the blue cover and fibreglass lid to help retain some of the heat overnight (lid needs 2 people).

If you want to reuse the hot tub on subsequent days you will now have to use the wood in the external burner. The heating time will be about 3-4 hours depending on the weather.

It is essential to make sure the water level is up to the red line on the top outlet pipe before lighting the burner.

Make sure you stick around while achieving the desired temperature. If you light the burner and then go to the pub you will be disappointed! It will certainly be worth the effort.

Please don’t disturb or change any tap settings on the tub, they are set up to be just right.

You can raise the level by simply turning on the tap again, the burner should ignite topping up the tub with more hot water which will help speed up the heating process.

Once it is up to the level line, you can remove the lid from the burner and light the fire using the wood that is (for sale at £5 per bag) in the vintage trailer next to the tractor in the barn. Matches & firelighters can be found in draw under the silo round table (please replace what you use).

keep the burner as full as possible and always replace the lid to retain the heat.

On the far wall you will see a large paddle which you can use to stir the water. (Remember hot water rises) so it will need stirring.
