By Car
The Old Forge is in the quaint village of Compton Abbas, just off the A350 between Shaftesbury and Blandford. Pull off the main road and we are the first house on the left (look up to the fox and hare on the thatch!)

By Train
The nearest train station is Gillingham, Dorset. We are only a 15 minute drive. Public transport pick ups may be available by arrangement. But having a car is recommended in the deepest Dorset!

With Compton Abbas airfield being the obvious closest ‘airport’, sadly you can’t fly there unless you have your own plane! So for the rest of us, the nearest airport is Bournmouth (45 mins) Bristol (1hr 20) London (2hrs 30)
