'Dorset at your Doorstep'

"To state that The Old Forge was winner of any commercial B&B award would be a travesty of justice, it would mean that this establishment had been compared with others and no judge could accomplish such a task - The Old Forge is simply beyond compare, it excels in every area. The hosts are charming and attentive to the guests every need (even eccentricities such as my request for raw toast) The rural surroundings are well situated for the exploration of the beautiful county of Dorset. For me personally and in fact, anybody with a sense of the joys of nostalgia, I can think of no other place to spend time, one night will not be long enough. We are thinking of staying a week next time we visit.."

Vivienne and Roy Holliday

"Just thought I'd drop you a line to say how much we enjoyed our stay at Sam, the shepherd's hut at the
weekend. Tim and Lucy were the warmest and most welcoming of hosts. "Sam" invited us is with cosy warmth
from the tiniest, cutest wood burning stove we've ever seen and we simply had no option but to relax and
just "be" for the the rest of our stay. Such simple pleasures from the perfectly decorated and furnished magical
space which had a timeless quality about it and from the beautiful setting of rural Dorset. We left recharged,
renewed and with grateful hearts."
